Barna Braun

IN SHORT: I have been working in the Hungarian cultural scene since 2007. Early in my career, I led the editorial team of FÉLonline.hu, a cultural magazine I founded, and organized its events. After graduating from the Faculty of Humanities at Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE), I joined the RS9 Theatre in Budapest, where I worked in marketing, program coordination, and festival organization.

In 2017, I took part in founding the Babits Mihály Theatre in Esztergom, where I served as Head of Communications until 2023. In 2018, we opened Óvóhely Kultúrbunker, an independent art space and theatre in Budapest, where I was a co-founder and Artistic Director until 2022.

Currently, I work behind the scenes at Térszínház as Operations Manager, and I am also involved in theatre organization at Három Holló art space.

Alongside my regular jobs and my own productions as a director, playwright, or producer, I freelance as a theatre technician, stage visual designer, and occasionally as a web developer. During the summer, I also guide dragon boat tours on Lake Velence, where I grew up.
